What we store

What we read from connected accounts

Data from Google is used only to show you your own planner. It is not sold, not used for ads, not used to train AI models, and not shared with anyone, in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Humans do not read it unless you ask us to for support.

Assistant

If you use the Assistant, the message you type, the last few lines of that chat, today's date and a short summary of your plan (open tasks with due dates and time estimates, the next week's schedule and your course names) are sent to the AI provider (Google Gemini, or Anthropic Claude if enabled) so it can answer. Nothing else is sent, and nothing changes until you confirm it.

If you share anonymous usage stats, your Assistant messages, its replies and which suggested changes you confirmed are also logged so we can see where it gets things wrong and improve it. They are stored under the same one-way code instead of your account, with emails and links removed, and deleted after 90 days. Turning stats off deletes them.

Anonymous usage stats

Unless you turn it off, NiloWise keeps an anonymous record of your setup answers (study times, session length, year, roles and your school's name), your theme and dashboard choices, and which kinds of accounts and features you use (for example "Google connected" or "reminders on"). It never includes your name, email, classes, tasks, links or anything from connected accounts. It is stored under a one-way code instead of your account, only totals are ever shown, and a school appears in those totals only once at least three people share it. Turn it off in Settings or at the end of setup, which deletes what was shared; deleting your account deletes it too.

Where it is kept

Your data is stored with Supabase (database) and served by Vercel (hosting). Each account can only read its own data.

Your choices

You can disconnect any account in Settings > Connections, which deletes its stored token. You can delete your account and all its data in Settings > Connections at any time. You can also revoke NiloWise's Google access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
